No Lock-in
The principle that tests remain fully portable and owned by you, with no dependency on a proprietary runtime to run them.
What is No Lock-in?
What is No Lock-in?
No lock-in means the tests you build are yours to keep and run anywhere, without being trapped in a proprietary format or forced to pay to execute them. Many tools generate tests that only run inside their own paid runtime; if you leave, your suite is worthless. QI takes the opposite stance: recorded flows export as standard Playwright code you commit to your own repository and run in your own CI, so your investment in test coverage stays portable, inspectable, and independent of any single vendor's platform.
